Notary was founded in 2007 by long-time
Santa Monica resident and young entrepreneur,
Somalia Goldsby.
Ms. Goldsby graduated
from the Santa Monica - Malibu Unified
School District and is currently
attending Santa Monica College with the
intent to transfer to the UC system to become an
attorney.
Ms. Goldsby believed that becoming a notary and launching Santa Monica Notary
was a great first-step toward her goal.
In recent years, Ms. Goldsby has become increasingly interested in forensics, specifically identification. After following the work of and making charitible contributions toThe Innocence Project
, she was motivated to expand the services of Santa Monica Notary to include live scan fingerprinting. Santa Monica Notary & Live Scan is now a private service provider for the California Department of Justice and the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Santa Monica Notary & Live Scan's Central Tower Building office has become a downtown fixture offering a steady stream of customers reliable notary and fingerprinting services, as well as, mobile services to busy professionals. Corporate clients include Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Chase, St. John's Hospital, Coda Automotive and Whiting-Turner.
Santa Monica Notary & Live Scan believes in giving back to the community and proudly provides gratis notary services to the homeless.
